Oscars 2023 Vanity Fair afterparty is one of the most watched red carpets in the world. Or maybe the most watched one straight after the Academy Awards ceremony red carpet itself. When thinking of Vanity Fair afterparty, we’re thinking glamorous, bold, breathtaking.
Thinking of the Vanity Fair afterparty outfits, there are a number of differences as opposed to the ‘Oscars looks’. Unlike the ceremony itself, this is the moment for celebrities to go a little bit more wild and be more courageous (yes, we are all thinking of Hunter Schafer). Stylists and designers let their imagination go even further to make sure their design/styling maks a proper fashion statement on the carpet. In addition to that, there is another big difference to the ceremony itself. And that is the guest-list.

Whereas the ceremony’s guest list consists predominantly of film & TV A-listers, the afterparty’s one is much broader. From the already mentioned film & TV A-listers to musicians, models, socialites, online personas etc. The list goes on.
There are mixed opinions on this. Some claim that the Oscars’ guest-list (including the VF afterparty) should remain inclusive mainly to film and TV stars and that not every celebrity needs to be invited to every star-studded event. Others claim that the Vanity Fair afterparty is more relaxed than the ceremony itself, therefore, the guest-list can be broader as it brings versatility to the event.
