Law Roach announcing his retirement came out of nowhere (at least that’s how it seemed to the public) and left the entire fashion world in shock. The celebrity stylist announced his retirement on 15 March 2023 via Instagram post.
“My Cup is empty….. thank you to everyone who’ve supported me and my career over the years. Every person that trusted me with their image, I’m so grateful for you all. If this business was just about the clothes I would do it for the rest of my life but unfortunately it’s not!” Roach said. “The politics, the lies and false narratives finally got me! You win … I’m out”
‘he turned a Disney star into a fashion muse’
His clientele consisted of a variety of A-list celebrities, including Ariana Grande, Kerry Washington, Megan thee Sallion, and Anya Taylor-Joy. However, the one that stands out the most is Zendaya. Law Roach was Zendaya’s fashion stylist since 2012 and is responsible for the majority of her iconic red-carpet looks. It is safe to say he turned a Disney star into a fashion muse and did so absolutely flawlessly. She is also the only one of his clients he will continue working with even after his retirement.
Roach’s talent is unmatched and he definitely shaped the fashion world. His shoes will be very, very difficult to fill (if that’s even possible) and there’s no doubt the fashion world lost one of its greatest people.
