Blake Lively as Lily Bloom. That title has been a hot topic of conversation for some time now. And unsurprisingly, it got a lot of mixed reactions from the public. To say the least. Some say it is just a different approach to the way the characters were described in the book and as a result of that, we should keep an open mind. Others say they completely ruined the character and Lively is nowhere near pulling off Lily Bloom. And keep in mind, all that noise was happening before the filming even begun. Now, that the highly anticipated film got to the cinemas, people’s reactions are pretty much the same – mixed.
Now two things to keep in mind. Firstly, the storyline touches a very sensitive topic of domestic violence, which is difficult to comment on from a perspective of someone, who has been lucky enough to never had to experience anything like that. And secondly, we do not want to dive too deep into the different opinions on the film, let’s leave that to the film critics (and social media). As the ‘IT ENDS WITH US’ press tour kicked off, the leading lady herself was spotted rocking several Lily Bloom-inspired outfits in some of the world’s biggest cities, including London and New York. Similarly to what Zendaya did on her Challengers press tour, Lively’s team also made sure all of her looks resembled her character’s biggest ‘selling point’ – flowers.
