The spring has officially sprung (or at least here, in London, it did) but did our spring wardrobe follow? In our case, not so much. But that is nothing that cannot be easily fixed. We just had to make sure to put in that time, do our research and come up with an ‘action plan’. Because one thing about us – we want to make sure we are READY.
Now, what we love the most about spring fashion is how it transfers us from one season to another. We still get to keep our layers but we swap heavy winter coats for trenches, boots for loafers, and knit jumpers for cardigans or long sleeve shirts. The days are longer, our outfits are lighter and life feels just a little better.
When you lookup the term ‘spring fashion’ your browser gets flooded with a thousand of different items. From dresses, skirts and shorts to blouses, shirts and, what seems like, ever single jacket known to man. It can definitely be overwhelming. To say the least. So, to help you out, we narrowed it down to a couple of staple pieces, that will never go out of style and are extremely easy to build around. Those are the true spring wardrobe essentials.
Trench Coat
A classic trench is always in style, and it’s a must-have for that transitional period when the weather is unpredictable. It’s perfect for layering over just about any outfit, whether you’re going for a casual look or something a little more polished.

Loafers
Comfortable and stylish, loafers are the perfect way to step into spring. They work just as well with jeans as they do with skirts or dresses, and they’re comfy enough for long walks in the sunny weather.

Shirts
Light button-down shirts or blouses in breathable fabrics like cotton or linen (on warmer days) are perfect for spring. They’re great for layering under jackets or worn on their own for a casual but chic look.

Leather Jacket
It’s amazing how a well-fitted leather jacket can transform an outfit. It adds a bit of edge to softer, more feminine spring pieces and can even take you through cooler days with style.

Ballerina Flats / Flat Mary-Jane’s
Flats are a fantastic spring staple! Not only do they give off a cute, laid-back vibe, but they also offer more comfort for those days when you want to be on the move. Perfect for an office as well as a weekend coffee stroll. Long story short, a spring wardrobe essential that simply must not be slept on.

Quality Denim
A good pair of denim jeans or a denim jacket is always a great foundation. Whether you prefer skinny, straight-leg, or wide-leg, denim is incredibly versatile and easy to dress up or down.

Good Quality Basic Tops
Having a collection of simple, well-made basic tops (think tees, long-sleeve shirts, or tanks) in neutral colors will make it so much easier to create outfits. They can be paired with just about anything and form the foundation for endless spring looks.

Sunglasses
Don’t forget your accessories! A good pair of sunglasses can elevate your entire outfit. Plus, they protect your eyes and give you that effortlessly cool vibe.

Bonus Tip: Lightweight (Satin) Scarves
They add a pop of color or pattern and can still keep you warm during breezy spring days without feeling too heavy.
