Boots and How to Style Them

Boots always have a special place in our hearts. Traditionally seen as strictly autumn/winter footwear, they can (and should) be worn all year round. It’s just a matter of styling.

And for that reason, we’ve created a little inspo guide on how to style this gem of a footwear staple throughout all four seasons.

Flat Ankle Boots

Spring
Pair with light-wash denim and a crisp white blouse, or a midi floral dress and a trench coat for that effortlessly polished transitional look.

Summer
Go for a flowy mini dress or shorts and a lightweight linen shirt. Opt for tan or white ankle boots to keep it feeling fresh and airy.

Autumn / Fall
Layer with tights, an oversized knit and a leather jacket. Ankle boots shine with cord skirts, dresses, or cropped jeans in earthy tones.

Winter
Thick socks peeking out of leather ankle boots, paired with skinny jeans, a chunky jumper and a wool coat. Add a beanie for extra cosiness.

Knee-High Boots (Including Cowboy, Flat, and Heeled)

Spring
Style heeled or flat knee-highs with a floaty midi skirt and a lightweight knit or cardigan. Cowboy boots look great with floral dresses.

Summer
Think festival vibes – denim shorts, oversized shirts, or boho dresses. Stick to lighter shades or suede textures to soften the look.

Autumn / Fall
Team with shirt dresses, cosy jumpers and long coats. Try tucking in skinny jeans or pair with ribbed midi dresses for a sleek silhouette.

Winter
Perfect for staying warm in style. Layer over tights or leggings with a knit dress or coatigan. Leather and suede boots both work beautifully here.

Over-the-Knee Boots

Spring
Pair with a trench coat and a simple mini dress or skirt. Stick to light neutral tones to avoid the look feeling too heavy for the season.

Summer
Trickier, but doable: go monochrome with a sleeveless shirt dress or shorts and a fitted tee. Keep fabrics breathable and styling minimal.

Autumn / Fall
Wear over-the-knee boots with knitted dresses or long jumpers for cosy elegance. Add a belted coat for extra polish.

Winter
Ideal for warmth and style. Style with thermal leggings, oversized coats, or sweater dresses. Add statement accessories to complete the look.

Mid-Calf Boots (Including Cowboy and Biker Styles)

Spring
Team with light-wash jeans or a midi skirt and a cropped cardigan. Cowboy boots give a playful edge to floral prints.

Summer
Biker boots with a floaty dress? Yes, please. Or go with cycling shorts and an oversized shirt for an edgy, street-style moment.

Autumn / Fall
Perfect with plaid skirts, tights and turtlenecks, or add them under cropped jeans with thick socks and an oversized scarf.

Winter
Mid-calf boots are your snow-day friend. Go for layered looks with thermal leggings, puffer jackets and beanies for both warmth and impact.
