Maxi lenghts are currently in the main spotlight and they are definitely not going anywhere any time soon. With the still-fairly-fresh trend of quiet luxury and ‘old money’ more and more women started leaning towards longer pieces as opposed to mini skirts and dresses. And yes, we can blame Sofia Richie for that as well. Or give her credit more, yes, that is more accurate. However, even though we are obsessed with Sofia as much as the next person, we dare to claim that this so called trend emerged way before she claimed the IT-girl title.
‘let’s give credit where credit is due’
Do not get us wrong, we are well aware that this whole, let’s say, aesthetic was born way before Sofia’s time. Women from many different cultures have been doing nothing if not leading this fashion direction – let’s give credit where credit is due. However, what we want to focus on here is not so much when it started or who started it (because let’s be real, it was not Sofia Richie) but more so how it affected latest fashion.
That being said, no one is saying goodbye to mini dresses and skirts. Those are definitely here to stay. But it goes without saying that have definitely been taking over the latest fashion scene.
