Another year, another Academy Awards season behind us. Last night, the highly anticipated Oscars 2024 took place in the Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles, presenting us with not only incredible talent, but also incredible fashion. But before we dive into that, let’s have a look at some of the 96th Academy Award Ceremony.
Oppenheimer stole the spotlight
First things first, it is safe to say that Oppenheimer stole not only the spotlight, but pretty much the entire Oscars 2024 show. The biographical drama directed by no other than Christopher Nolan earned seven trophies, including Best picture, Best director, Best actor in a leading role (Cillian Murphy) and Best actor in a supporting role (Robert Downey Jr.). Looking at the ladies, Emma Stone took home her second Oscar for Best actress in a leading role for her performance in Poor Things. The title of Best actress in a supporting role landed to Da’Vine Joy Randolph for her role in The Holdovers.
Now, shifting back to the reason we are actually here – the red carpet fashion. We have said it before and we will say it again, events of this size are something the most prestigious fashion houses in the world live for. Each look is carefully thought through and the design teams take months to work on perfect looks for the ‘perfect people’ we then get to see on the red carpet.
