Sunglasses obsession alert! Okay, okay, we know. Sunglasses agent exactly the smartest investment in terms or retention value. BUT! It just brings us so much joy that technically it is a great investment in terms of happiness and good mental health maintenance. Yes, fair enough, that is a bit of a stretch, but you get the memo.
Designer sunglasses are by no means a necessity, but it brings a nice “something extra” to your looks and elevates your outfit. Think of it as a cherry on top. Or a dessert, as Cher would say (if you know, you know).
let’s talk pros and cons
What we really like about designer sunglasses is that it is very easy to find great deals on them online as opposed to other designer items such as shoes or handbags. So you can easily pay half the price if you do your shopping research well. Another pro of a ‘sunnies-investment’ is that, unless you sit or step on them (let’s be honest, we’ve all been there), they show barely any signs of wear with time. That definitely cannot be said about high street sunglasses – yes, we’re talking about finding flakes of paint on our faces that have fallen off our £10 sunglasses whilst being happily sat on our faces.
Just so you don’t think we’re biased here (although, in all fairness, we are), let’s talk cons as well. It comes as no surprise that the price aspect is worth mentioning when talking about the less enjoyable part of getting high end designer sunglasses. Meaning if you’re the kind of person that constantly loses their sunglasses or throws them on a sofa, forgets about them and then makes themselves comfortable only to hear that crunch, that’s at least £200 down the toilet. So that’s something that definitely needs to be born in mind.
