It’s that time of the year again and the wedding season is upon us. And that goes hand in hand with one of our favourite pieces of clothing – wedding guest dresses.
We have already covered our favourite bridal brands as well as one of the top go-to brands when shopping for wedding guest dresses – House of CB. Now, let’s broaden our horizons and look for inspiration beyond the fan favourite London brand.
As we do not want to necessarily focus on any particular brands this time, we have divided our picks into a few subcategories. Just to make it all a bit more simple.
Yellow dresses
With butter yellow being THE colour of the season, we had to lead with this one. Not only it is a beautiful summery colour, it suits pretty much every skin tone and is not too “loud” (unlike red, pink or purple). Also, with yellow dominating the fashion world right now, there are plenty of options to chose from out there. Just be careful you do not go for too light of a yellow, as it can look quite similar to cream/white (ish). Or if you do, always check with the bride prior to purchasing. We are sure, no one wants any unnecessary faux paux.

A-line maxi dresses
For more elegant weddings, you might want to opt for a maxi A-line dress. Very sophisticated and classy, yet not overpowering and still will not outshine the bride. With A-line maxi’s we would recommend to go for a plain design in pastel colours. So we are talking powder blue, pink, green or yellow.

Silk & Satin Gowns
As a lot of couples tend to opt for a very warm wedding destinations, often including beach ceremonies, the high temperatures can become our enemies when choosing which dress to go for. In cases like these, very light and cooling materials, that still look chic and classy are a must. So it felt only fitting that we include the most popular ones for such conditions – silk and satin.

Additionally, should you be looking for some more everyday fashion guidance, have a look at our wishlist. It is safe to say, you will find plenty of shopping inspiration there. Both high street and high end – we made sure to suit all budgets. And yes, all the links are there, too – do not worry, we have got your back.
