Curly hair essentials

Curly hair is pure beauty, there is no denying that, but it sometimes takes a village to tame it. Or actually majority of times, if we’re completely honest here. We have prepared a short list of some curly hair essentials that should not be missing in your house. Waves, curls, coils. We have got you covered.

WOW Dream Coat spray

Okay, we must admit, we were a bit skeptical here considering the hype around this product. But we also must admit the hype is valid here. This product will leave your curls shiny and defined.

Curling creme / leave-in

To keep those curls hydrated. Can be combined or used as ‘either/or’, this is up to your preference.

Noughty Wave Hello Curl Defining Taming Cream

Umberto Giannini Crème De Curl

Hair gel & jelly

Always, always finish off with a hair gel or a jelly. The difference it makes is out of this world. If there is one product you should always have, it’s hair gel. And we don’t even have to mention the edges….always have a hair gel

Aveda Confixor

Curlsmith Style Fixer

Protein drops

This one can truly elevate your curls and give them that desired definition. However, please keep in mind it needs to be used sparingly and only if the hair products you already used do not contain protein. You don’t want to over-protein your locks. Trust us. Less is definitely more.

Heat protective spray

Do we even need to elaborate on that one. Unless you leave your hair to dry naturally, always make sure you use heat protection before blow drying

Bonding oil

For that extra shine and moisture. Only use on completely dry hair as using on wet or even just damp hair will only result in a waste of product. It’s no rocket science that water and oil don’t mix.

Curlsmith

Olaplex

Satin pillow case, scrunchies & hair bonnet

Crucial step in keeping your curls defined and bouncy for days. Swap pillow cases for satin ones, throw away your old elastic bands and protect your curls.
