Mugler AW23 collection kicked off ready-to-wear runway looks. And let us tell you, they definitely made a statement. After Mugler’s break from fashion shows, Casey Cadwallader, the brand’s creative director, made sure Mugler’s return to runways is a moment to remember. And he definitely delivered.
Black, sheer, leather, minimalistic…those are a few of the descriptions Mugler’s been identified by. And those are very much a perfect description of the Mugler AW23 collection as well. They stayed true to themselves while still introducing us to fresh, elevated designs and beautiful craftsmanship. There has been a fair share of skinny trousers, mini dresses and exposed skin. All that is very iconic for the brand.
Beside the band’s fabulous Fall 2023 collection, we could also see a refreshing range of models walking the runway. Following the haute couture week, there has been criticism regarding lack of diversity on the runways. Mugler definitely showed us they are not following those footsteps as we could see models of different age, ethnicity, size, and gender walking the runway.
Do we absolutely love Mugler? Yes. Are we bias? Probably. But this was definitely a show to remember.
